Teen Bookfest by the Bay is a free event for South Texas Teens funded by generous sponsors and grants. Our organization received a $4,000 grant from Coastal Bend Community Foundation. These funds will be used by our planning committee to plan and prepare for the 2022 Teen Bookfest by the Bay. Thank you Coastal Bend Community Foundation.

Virtual events were better than nothing, but there’s nothing quite like a group of teens getting together in person to talk books with each other and talk to the authors who write them.

The last time a group of South Texas teens got together to talk to authors and share their love of reading and books was in February of 2020 just days before a worldwide pandemic would change EVERYTHING. A lot has changed since then, but not die-hard fans of reading.

And, as the world slowly returns to some kind normalcy, it’s time to gear up for a return to Teen Bookfest by the Bay in 2022.
